I have been in the property industry since I was 16 years of age and still to this day, I cannot understand why our industry is so complicated and time intensive!
During my tenure, I have learned many things, but there is no greater learning than the importance of listening to the customer and the teams that you work with. Experience has taught me that our industry isn’t just about property, it’s about people and their lives. So often estate agents try to segway a person into a specific department; for example tenants are tenants, landlords are landlords, sellers are sellers and buyers are buyers. But as you gain more experience, you begin to hear them, as you listen to their moving stories, you soon realise a person is a customer and is often doing many things at the same time. That is why I am passionate about the customers journey to help understand what they are trying to do, and how we can help them achieve it. The CGT moto is ‘a place for everyone’. That is why, with my amazing team, we have expanded the CGT business from its humble beginnings 37 years ago, to a multi-channel operation. Our mission is to help our customers achieve their moving objective, even if they are looking to tune in to multiple channels at the same time.
